Unless you’re sitting on a porch somewhere strumming your banjo, chances are you’ve got a lot to do and possibly little time to do it. Luckily, there are other people with that same problem: people who also use Android. As with other apps, they are looking for ways to make life just a tad bit better. We’ve taken away the guess work and compiled a list of apps that can help you stay organized.

Android

  1. Evernote

evernote-shotsEvernote is a modern workspace packed into an app. Not only does it have features that will help you stay organized, but it can also help you keep track of your expenses. Writing notes, creating checklists, organizing your files, turning business cards into contacts, and saving travel reservations are just a few examples of what this app can do.

Another valuable feature Evernote has to offer is the ability to discuss your notes with others, all without exiting the app. Organizing your notes is also easy, as you are able to assign tags to them, store them in digital notebooks, and search for specific text in your notes. Though Evernote is free to download, there is an option of upgrading to one of two different subscription levels of the app.

Evernote Premium offers some added perks, such as offline access, unlimited uploads, unlimited business card scans, PDF annotation, better search features, and the ability to add a passcode lock. Interestingly, all versions of Evernote can sync between multiple devices, making this an especially useful tool.

  1. Dropbox

Never lose your files again. Dropbox can make this possible; it automatically syncs your files across all of your devices. This app is great when it comes to organizing any photos, videos, or documents, by allowing you to organize them into folders.

You can then easily share these with your friends or co-workers (whether they have a Dropbox account or not), which is great news if you have a video file that is too large to share via text message. An added benefit is that if you decide to use Dropbox on your PC, your files will always be available, even offline. Also, if you are working with a team, this app makes it easy to share files with them instantly; it even allows team members to edit files within the shared folder in Dropbox.

  1. Dashlane

Dashlane protects your data with AES-256 encryption and auto-locks after inactivity. It also sends you security breach alerts for your login and password information.

Logging into apps and websites is easy with this app, and it is compatible with Google Authenticator, making it an even more secure. It’s a definite must have for those who don’t have much time to keep track of their login information. Dashlane is free to use, though their premium version offers the option to sync your info across all of your devices.

  1. Trello

Trello is basically a digital whiteboard that you can either use solo or can invite others to work with you on. Using Trello cards that you arrange and list on your boards, it is an easy way to keep track of what you’re doing and what needs to be done.

Other than keeping track of tasks, you can create boards to keep track of just about anything. Photos and videos are supported, making this a particularly visually appealing app, and Trello stays in sync across all of your devices. It is free to use but offers 3 different paid subscription plans, starting at $5 per month.

  1. Google Keep

If you don’t have time to type out a memo, you can speak a voice memo and have it automatically transcribed for you. Search capability allows you to find what you’re looking for easily and efficiently.

You can color code and label notes, upload photos, share your notes with friends, and even set location-based reminders. For example, you can enable the app to pull up your shopping list when you arrive at the store. Like the other apps mentioned, Google Keep syncs across all of your devices.

Organized Yet?

With these 5 apps, you should be organized in no time! However, since many of you will be using these apps over public Wi-Fi, I feel obliged to tell you to protect your Android phone with a great VPN (Virtual Private Network). A VPN will give your device an encrypted tunnel for your information to pass through on its way to the internet. This will protect you from hackers and offers many other benefits as well. Gone are the days when you need to have floods of papers on your desk, lying on your coffee table, or cluttering up your drawers. Staying organized is easier than ever before.
